Interior Design Photography in Mexico

Photography and video to promote interior design projects: images that capture what being in the space actually feels like.

Interior design is a multidisciplinary craft: it brings together architecture, art, decoration and furniture. Documenting your projects in quality images is not an extra at the end of the job — it is the only way your work keeps selling after you have handed it over.

Capturing the function within the form

Our approach is to show, through the image, the particular style of each project, the materials used and the feeling of each area. The scene is prepared carefully before we shoot: we look for angles and positions that recreate clean, elegant spaces with a sense of order in the composition, paying close attention to textures, colours, finishes, materials and accessories.

Interior design photographer in Mexico — textures, finishes and natural light

Scale, depth and natural light

Our interiors photography sets out to describe the size of the place and its spatial relationship with the furniture and the layout, creating a genuine sense of depth in every scene. Chairs, tables, sofas and nightstands matter as much as the void between them: they are what give the eye a reference for scale.

We take into account the orientation of the project and the time of day, because together they set the quality of the light on ocean-view terraces, dining rooms, bedrooms and beachfront palapa areas. It is the part of the job that cannot be improvised: you plan it or you lose it.

Fifteen years photographing interiors in Mexico

We have shot commissions for leading interior design studios in Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, Guadalajara, Los Cabos and Cancún, with a standing presence in five markets: Punta Mita, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Guadalajara and the Riviera Maya.

Interiors photography combines technique, art and patience. Its basic principle has to do with a command of perspective — recognising its different types and thinking in terms of geometry — in order to produce images that account for how the designer interpreted the space, and not merely for the furniture inside it.

Professional equipment and careful post-production

We work with high-end Nikon bodies, specialist Nikkor optics and current software for photo and video post-production, with continuous training in new photographic technology. We complement the project with aerial drone coverage whenever the location or the setting is part of the concept.

Every interior design project is different. Write to us at hola@fotodearquitectura.com, message us on +52 33 2582 1177 or tell us about your project.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about interior design photography

How much does it cost to photograph an interior design project?

It depends on the type of space: a single room starts at $6,500 MXN, an apartment at $8,500, a whole house at $12,000, a restaurant at $9,500 and an office at $10,500. The full breakdown is in the 2026 price list.

Do I need to hire a stylist?

Not always. Many studios hand the project over already dressed, and minor adjustments on site are enough. When a space needs props, flowers or extra textiles we quote it separately, because the cost is set by the style of the project and not by a flat rate.

How long does an interiors shoot take?

A whole house usually takes a long day, because every area has its own good hour of light. In projects with ocean views or terraces the schedule depends on orientation: some spaces only work for one hour a day.

Do you shoot with natural light or flash?

We prioritise natural light, because that is what the designer had in mind when choosing materials and finishes. We use supplementary lighting only to hold the scene together when the difference between interior and exterior is too great.

Can I publish the photos in magazines and in my portfolio?

Yes. Editorial use and your own portfolio are covered by the fee. Paid advertising campaigns or unlimited commercial use require an additional usage licence.

Do you work with showrooms and furniture brands?

Yes. Alongside the finished interior design project, we produce product photography, catalogues and editorial material for showrooms and for furniture and finishes brands.
